Hot News Today | David Gandy named first Battersea Dogs & Cats Home ambassador. David Gandy has been unveiled as Battersea Dogs & Cats Home's initial ambassador. The model, initial discovered on ITV1 daytime magazine show This Morning in 2001, can work to focus on the animal charity's work.
"It's a true honour to be invited to be Battersea's initial ambassador," Gandy said. "The work they are doing to search out homes for thousands of dogs and cats per annum is wonderful and that i hope to assist create a true distinction. "What makes Battersea therefore special is it cares for each variety of dog and tries to assist them get a second probability in a very loving new home."
The 32-year-old, who recently split from The Saturdays' star Mollie King, continued: "From visiting the house, I've found that these dogs, several of them Staffordshire Bull Terriers, are desirous to get near you for a few love and a spotlight.
"The affection they show you is astounding. I hope my involvement can facilitate justify that and create individuals think about selecting a rescue dog or cat from Battersea for his or her next pet."
