Amitabh Bachchan and Jaya Bachchan | To Star in Romantic Film Together. Director Shoojit Sircar is about to reunite Amitabh and Jaya Bachchan on screen in his next film.
Sircar previously created Johnny Mastana starring Amitabh 3 years ago, however it's currently unreleased.
Speaking to the days of India, the director said: "[The new film is] a retrospection of a wedding within the closing years of a couple's life when they are bound that one in all them would go before the opposite.
"After spending thirty five years along, how do i 1/2 the marital try prepare to face a spouseless existence?"
Describing it as an intensely romantic film concerning an aged couple, he said: "True love does not diminish over the years. It simply turns into a distinct shade of emotion than what it had been earlier. i would like to explore the unconditional love of a few who have devoted their lives to at least one another."
With the script prepared, Sircar has been frequently visiting the Bachchan residence to finalise the project.
"Mr Bachchan and that i spent 2 years of our lives performing on Johnny Mastana. It's unfortunate that the film remains unreleased. I still say it's one in all Mr Bachchan's best works up to now. My next film with him would be even higher," he said.
The couple last starred on screen along in Kabhi Khushi Kabhie Gham... in 2001.
A sequel to that film has been mentioned.
